A brief history of our lawn mowing business
Eddie and Jonny are brothers who started cutting grass for neighbors when they were young teenagers. They grew their customer base by doing good work and giving personable service. In 2019 Eddie and Jonny decided they would take their lawn mowing business to full time. Their dad willingly came on board with them, handling the phone and taking care of scheduling and payments. Eddie and Jonny purchased new commercial lawn equipment- a 54″ walk behind and a 36″ walk behind mower. They’ve taken on insurance and some new software to help with scheduling and payments. Their Jefferson County lawn care business has continued to grow. They have now added a couple more family members to the team and are looking at ways to continue to improve their lawn care services.
What to expect
Estimates for grass cutting
Free estimates can be received by calling or filling out the form on this page. A team member from Village Grass Lawn Care will look at your property and then the office will get back to you with an estimate for both weekly service and biweekly service. After that, you just need to let us know if you would like to be on our grass cutting schedule. We’ll collect some information and you will be all set up.
Lawn care schedule
The schedule will look something like this: The plan is to cover the north eastern side of Jefferson County early in the week, starting with Imperial and the southern part of Arnold. Then we will move on to Barnhart and go west a little on Hwy M. Typically around Wednesday we will serve Pevely and Herculaneum. Then we will finish the week with Crystal City and Festus. Of course rain may change the exact days we arrive at each destination.
Village Grass Lawn Care offers two different mowing schedules. Lawn mowing can be scheduled on a weekly basis, or on a biweekly basis. There is a surcharge for the biweekly service. It’s no problem if you would like to change from one to the other, depending on how fast the grass is growing.
Leaf cleanup
We provide leaf cleanup by blowing leaves with backpack blowers. We will blow them out of bushes and flower beds. If woods boarders your yard, we can blow the leaves into the woods. Otherwise, we have a truck with a leaf vacuum that can vacuum up the leaves, and we’ll haul them away. We would be happy to provide you with a free estimate.
Payment for lawn care
We try to stay strictly to credit card payments. This is a lot easier and safer for us. Trying to collect cash and having the crews carrying around cash all day with them can be a huge headache. For certain occasions we do accept checks, though in that case they must be paid prior to our service.
